Costs and Energy
Why is SPF so effective?
SPF is so effective because it is sprayed in liquid form, reacting and expanding as it hits the target surface. As such, it uniquely expands 50 to 120 times its size, fluidly filling every hole, corner and fixture in walls and ceilings, providing for an entirely airtight seal unparalleled by conventional insulators.
Capitalizing on this ability, Energy Wise then uses engineering concepts and software first developed for early NASA spacecraft to keep the building’s interior heated and cooled at the least energy expenditure. As there is very little exchange of heat and air through the SPF barrier, once a temperature is reached indoors, it can be maintained extremely easily at very little cost. Practically, this bears two results: Firstly, your heating or air-conditioning unit need only run half as much, with far less leakage and energy loss; Secondly, you can afford to buy a much smaller heating and air-conditioning unit, as it needs much less power to achieve the same result.
